Health and Fitness Science
Learn Your Way with our HyFlex Format
The Health & Fitness Science program now offers courses in a HyFlex format, giving you the flexibility to choose how you participate while still receiving the hands-on education needed for a career in the fitness industry.
Each week, you can decide the learning option that works best for your schedule:
• Attend class in person for a traditional classroom experience.
• Join live online during the scheduled class meeting.
• Watch the recorded lecture later and complete the required participation activity at a time that fits your schedule.
This flexibility makes it easier to balance college with work, family, athletics, military service, or other responsibilities, without sacrificing your progress toward graduation.
Hands-On Skills, Wherever You Learn
Health & Fitness Science is built around developing practical skills. Whether you participate in person or remotely, you will complete the same learning outcomes and receive instructor feedback throughout the semester.
Students attending in person complete laboratory activities, fitness assessments, and exercise demonstrations during class.
Students participating asynchronously complete the same activities independently by recording and submitting videos of their work. Instructors review each submission and provide individualized feedback to help ensure students develop the knowledge and practical skills expected of health and fitness professionals.
HyFlex gives you the freedom to learn in the way that best fits your life while maintaining the quality, accountability, and hands-on experience that define º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s Health & Fitness Science program.
