Are you unemployed or underemployed? Are you interested in a better job or starting a new career? Would you like to gain additional training, certifications, or degrees? If so, More Than a Job NC is the program for you.

More Than a Job NC (MTAJ-NC) is a partnership between 海角视频, the Lincoln County DSS, and the North Carolina Division of Health and Human Services. We are able to assist active SNAP Benefit participants in Lincoln and 海角视频 County, who are at least 16 years old, to reach their education and employment goals.

MTAJ-NC empowers individuals to reach their career potential and meets the workforce needs of North Carolina by enabling our trusted partners to provide job-driven skills-based training, education, and support services that improve the confidence, health, and well-being of participants, families, and communities.

  • Education Navigator that will help you in creating a plan to help you reach your education and employment goals.
  • Training and certifications for in-demand jobs.
  • Financial assistance with tuition, fees, textbooks, materials, uniforms, etc.
  • Supportive services and transportation assistance that assist in removing educational and employment barriers.
  • Assistance with resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills, and employer connections.

Program Requirements

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Reside in Lincoln or 海角视频 County.
  • Be receiving SNAP Benefits.
  • Meet with an Educational Navigator on a regular basis.
